About Me

Educator, technology integrator, library media specialist. I taught US social studies in an 8th grade classroom for 9 years, served as a part time technology instructional leader for 4 years, and am beginning a new role as a library media specialist in a K-2 school.

I am a passionate promoter of educational technology to enhance student learning opportunities.  In addition to my experience in the classroom, I have taught introductory coding to students in middle and grade school through after school continuing education courses and summer camps.  I have also led summer camps that focused on Minecraft and related STEM challenges.

I have co-presented a poster session at ISTE on managing iPads, and have co-published an article on incorporating student generated wikis in the social studies classroom. I look forward to delivering two poster presentations at ISTE 2016 on coding with Scratch/Scratchjr and on the library learning commons model.
